    If you didn’t know, Gjellina is the best pie in Los Angeles. Truly wonderful. Best recipe but you gotta use great produce

    I had two packages of the most fragrant and deeply ripened strawberries I've seen in the US. Made this recipe with regular polenta (not instant as called for). One of the best berry dishes I've had. Because of my substitution, there was a little more crunch, which I liked but might not appeal to all. In any event, yet another winning recipe from this astonishing cookbook that I seem to turn to again and again.
