    Kind of one note to me, much prefer the Korean ol namul.

    This is similar to the famous Chinese Smashed Cucumbers but quicker and easier. The recipe requires a 20-minute chill in the refrigerator, which is great for putting the final touches on the rest of the dinner. I thought it might be too garlicky for my husband but the flavors of the garlic, salt, and sesame oil are nicely balanced and we both think this is SO GOOD! I will definitely make it again.
