    Can substitute argan oil, smen, or olive oil mixed with butter for ghee.

    Flavor-wise this was great, though I modified the technique a bit. Cooked the onions and fennel a fair bit longer, cooked the pot in the oven for 20 minutes with the lid before removing it for the full baking time. Worked out well.
