Marble cake (Marmorkuchen) from Classic German Baking: The Very Best Recipes for Traditional Favorites, from Pfeffernüsse to Streuselkuchen (page 72) by Luisa Weiss

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Excellent cake. I baked in a bundt pan for 49 minutes. I used gluten-free baking flour to accommodate a coworker's dietary needs, which worked well.

Nice fine crumb. Equal balance of vanilla and chocolate flavour. Recipe states 60 minutes baking time. Took mine out at 50 and felt it a bit over baked. Will try 45 minutes next time.

This was a great cake. It's not too sweet or rich. The chocolate flavor is prominent but not overpowering. It's moist. It's heavier than most cakes without being too heavy.
