Fried green tomato and pimento cheese galettes from Dinner Pies: From Shepherd's Pie and Cottage Pie, to Tarts, Turnovers, Quiches, Hand Pies, and More, with 100 Delectable and Foolproof Recipes (page 110) by Ken Haedrich

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

This was a tasty meal but also a project. The recipe is not very well-written so read it over a couple of times before prepping. You will think of ways to avoid dirtying so many bowls. The green tomatoes are too thinly-sliced to hold up to all the handling they get by being fried and arranged in the crust. If I make this again, I would slice them 1/2 inch thick instead of a scant 1/4 inch.
