Anzac biscuits from Dorie's Cookies (page 159) by Dorie Greenspan

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

The flavor of these are really nice. I think sweetened coconut is less common in Australia. I sweetened 90g of dried coconut by coating it in a syrup 45g of sugar and 20-25ish grams of water. The dough was pretty greasy and wet but I didn't have any issue shaping them into balls. My dough didnt really spread much like she described so next time I can probably fit more cookies on a sheet. I measured ~30g per cookie. I cooked the first batch for more like 19 minutes and the second for more like 17. I think these are pretty forgiving on bake time but next time I'd do closer to the lower cook time.

Loved these. Super easy - no mixer required! I just used my hands to shape them.

Tasty cookie. I like the combination of oats and coconut.

These were good, very easy to make and resulted in an excellent texture. Crispy on outside and chewy in the centre. I used a tablespoon measure to shape the biscuits and ended up making 28 of them with this recipe. Definitely a do-again.

Love these cookies! I make these probably more than any other cookie. They are delicious and different than your standard chocolate chip cookie.

Fabulous cookies rich in butter, toasted oat and caramel flavours. They were quite crunchy with the oats and coconut adding chew. I used a #70 cookies scoop for a yield of 28 (a little smaller than instructed).
