Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    The chocolate cake recipe seems overly complicated for the outcome - there are better recipes out there with simpler techniques. The timing seems off, as well. 45 minutes for 2 8” rounds is too long — I checked mine at 35 and it was definitely over baked already at that point. Frosting is nice though, a straight forward take on American buttercream. I’d skip the cake next time but would remake the icing.
