Chinese mustard greens (Gai lan) with oyster sauce from The Best Recipes in the World: More Than 1,000 International Dishes to Cook at Home (page 463) by Mark Bittman

  • oyster sauce
  • gai lan

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

The stems took closer to 10 minutes to fully cook. Some of the gai LAN was too bitter to eat and there wasn't enough sauce to complement it.
