Fried tofu and tomatoes in sweet soy sambal from The Malaysian Kitchen: 150 Recipes for Simple Home Cooking (page 139) by Christina Arokiasamy

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Quite nice tofu sambal dish, definitely comes together quickly. I used one big Tomato and one can of chopped tomatoes. Also used already prepared sambal from the book instead of the kecap manis and added some ginger garlic paste.

    Nice rich sauce. Worked well.

This was sooo good. The spicy and sweet sauce is just great. I cooked my tofu in the air fryer and that was the most time-consuming part of this recipe.

I made this with canned tomatoes and fried my own tofu. It’s easy and delicious. Could benefit from the addition of some veggies.

This is astonishingly delicious. In our house it’s just known as “The Tofu,” and we eat a lot of tofu. If you bake the tofu or buy pre-fried, it’s almost laughably easy. A winner for sure.
