White bean gratin with sausage from Bread Toast Crumbs: Recipes for No-Knead Loaves & Meals to Savor Every Slice (page 195) by Alexandra Stafford

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Delightful. Warm, comforting, and filling. I made it with canned beans, so I did boil the onion, garlic, bay leaf, and thyme in a few cups of water for maybe 15 minutes before I added the beans. I recommend using a good olive oil because its flavor is prominent in the crumbs, but considering I made it with Polska kielbasa as that was what we had on hand, and the bread I turned into crumbs would have been tossed soon if I hadn't used it, this was a very inexpensive dinner. All the stars! Will definitely try this with other types of smoked sausage. I think it would also be good with no meat, as a side or vegetarian option.
