Foolproof holiday cookies from The Perfect Cookie: Your Ultimate Guide to Foolproof Cookies, Brownies, and Bars (page 367) by America's Test Kitchen

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

My mom is a sugar cookie fanatic, and these are her all time favorite cookies that I make. The dough is easy to work with and paired with their frosting, the recipe is just wonderful. they aren't too soft or too crisp. I make them for all holidays - a fun way to be able to use my different cookie cutters.

We normally hate making cut out cookies. We'd rather have ugly but tasty cookies and most sugar cookies don't do it for us. But these are wonderful. This recipe appeared in the ATK family cookbook. We've been making them every holiday season for years - particularly to make linzers/jam sandwiches and the coconut lime balls. Although the raspberry jam sandwiches are our absolute favorites.
