    I was in the mood for a cake and I had everything in the pantry for this one. Most people should as it’s very basic. I like the finished product, but I found it a bit dense. I also found that the flavor lacked depth. That said, my son says it’s his favorite cake ever. It’s not super sweet on its own. The turbinado sugar on top gives a nice crunch and added sweetness.
