    Can substitute sunflower oil for beef drippings.

    I used schmaltz instead of beef dripping because I had them with roast chicken. Really successful! I don't like when recipes have additional ingredients in the method though - having 150ml of milk in the ingredients list and then another 150ml water in the method is a bit confusing. They rose beautifully and had a really good flavour and texture.

    Quantities are wrong. Had to add extra liquid - batter was like glue.
