Warm pear compote from The How Not to Die Cookbook: 100+ Recipes to Help Prevent and Reverse Disease (page 18) by Michael Greger M.D. and Gene Stone and Robin Robertson

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

  • Eat Your Books

Can substitute apples, peaches, or plums for pears.

Such a delightful recipe to make & eat in the fall. Subbed maple syrup instead of date sugar + used dried cranberries instead of raisins.
