    Allow to marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight. Can substitute chicken drumsticks or chicken thighs for chicken wing drumettes.

    I used the suggested option of boneless skinless chicken thighs, air frying at 400 for 12-13 minutes. I held back some of the marinade to brush over the finished chicken (rather than the make the other little sauce she suggests). I also didn't have applesauce & so added Peach sriracha jam from the canning cupboard, holding back a bit of the gochujang to taste re: heat from the jam. These were delicious & are a repeat for sure.

    We loved these. I too used drumsticks and had no applesauce. Added a tablespoon extra honey. This will be repeated.

    We loved these! I used skinless drumsticks and marinated them for only an hour and they were full of flavour. I didn't have applesauce for the marinade - it's not a staple in my kitchen - and they were delicious without.

    I did the drumettes and flats that I bought already cut apart. This recipe is from the air fryer section. My air fryer is small so it would have taken several rounds to get them all fried, so I opted for the oven version of this recipe. I made the marinade early in the day and left in fridge about around 8 hours. It was a hit with son, daughter, son-in-law and myself. Hubby doesn't eat chicken so I made him something else.
