Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Accompaniments: Creole saffran rice

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

  • Eat Your Books

Can substitute tomatoes for tomato purée, tamarind pulp for tamarind paste, and ground cinnamon for cinnamon sticks.

It wasn't marvellous, but then it turned out that nor were my prawns, so all the taste had to come from the sauce. Nevertheless, a decent curry, which tasted far better a couple of days later. Would make again if I can find tastier prawns and would possibly add half a teaspoon of sugar.
