Creamy green shakshuka with crispy latkes from Sababa: Fresh, Sunny Flavors from My Israeli Kitchen (page 57) by Adeena Sussman

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Can substitute za'atar or fresh oregano for thyme.

Just made the shakshuka part of the recipe and I halved the recipe. Used za’atar for thyme. Served with pita. Easy enough. Can’t say I tasted the jalapeño. I did enjoy the creamed green aspect of this shakshuka. I’m not sure if broiling at the end is necessary. Overall good easy dish to use up some greens (I used rainbow chard and kale)
