Arugula salad with dates, feta, and pistachios from Sababa: Fresh, Sunny Flavors from My Israeli Kitchen (page 178) by Adeena Sussman

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I love this dressing because it is not acid at all, it’s rather sweet! The combination of flavors is really nice. I added lettuce as well because just arugula is to bitter for me. And it was delicious!

Delicious as always. Lost track of how many times we’ve made this one!

    Added croutons for extra yum

Quite liked this, though did go off-recipe a little. Feta having gone bad, I used goat cheese. I skipped the nuts and just used dates. Added slivered red onion that had soaked in vinegar to tame it. I think the dressing lends itself well to many adaptations and is very simple to put together.

Fantastic salad, made as directed, and will make again. I did have silan. I think it is worth it to broil the dates if you can.

    Delicious! Will make again.

So few ingredients, so much flavor. I didn't have date syrup and substituted maple, which worked fine. This is the only salad with "bitter" greens my husband really enjoys. Definitely a keeper.

Fantastic balance of flavor! The dressing, cheese and dates strikes a tasty balance with the spicy arugula. This salad will definitely go into our rotation.

Great salad that’s easy to throw together with items you have on hand. You can make the dressing and vary the salad ingredients. I prefer the dates unbroiled as I think they are difficult to eat. I also cut them up into bite size pieces.
