Pasta with creamy bean sauce from How to Cook Everything Completely Revised Twentieth Anniversary Edition: Simple Recipes for Great Food (page 490) by Mark Bittman

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This is basically "infuse some olive oil with whatever flavour and then add that to some pureed beans, then add a decent amount of the pasta water to make it into a sauce". I liked it. My kids ate some (which is good!). It isn't going to be as gut satisfying as a meat or cheese sauce but it is 70% of the way there and a great way to sneak beans into a meal. Will definitely make again.
