Mother's chicken soup with dill from The Brooklyn Cookbook (Knopf Cooks American Series) (page 182) by Lyn Stallworth and Rod Kennedy Jr.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

Mario was sick--so I made chicken soup, but he didn't have enough appetite to even try it. This recipe was easy enough to make. (I bought chicken parts instead of a whole chicken, as I'm not good at butchering--just having to remove the skin and fat was enough for me.) However, I had difficulty with the seasoning, as it wasn't specified. I wound up using much more than one teaspoon of salt and adding dried thyme, dried parsley, and ground pepper.
