Pomme royale from Drinking French: The Iconic Cocktails, Apéritifs, and Café Traditions of France, with 160 Recipes (page 195) by David Lebovitz

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

  • Eat Your Books

Can substitute sugar for superfine sugar, and Grand Marnier for Cointreau. See recipe for a variation.

Lovely, well-balanced drink. While the sugar rim was nice, sips without it were also good, so you could skip it.

Really great drink. I loved the flavor. I skipped the sugar and lemon juice on the rim and it worked fine.
