Maple cabbage fry with juniper and coriander from Sweet Nature: A Cook's Guide to Using Honey and Maple Syrup (page 89) by Beth Dooley and Mette Nielsen

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

  • Eat Your Books

Can substitute rice vinegar for maple vinegar; and red cabbage, Savoy cabbage, or napa cabbage for green cabbage.

Yes, I am a sucker for recipes using juniper berries or uncommon vinegars (maple vinegar) so I had to try this recipes. The heading is correct - this is great with pork chops and well worth repeating. It has a distinctive flavor without the fermentation of sauerkraut.
