Salty chocolate chess pie from Pie for Everyone: Recipes and Stories from Petee's Pie, New York's Best Pie Shop (page 176) by Petra Paredez

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Such an excellent recipe! Perfect salty-sweet and the texture was like a slightly gooey brownie with a crunch on top. Everyone went back for seconds, so unfortunately I had no leftovers and have to make it again soon. Oh no….

Loved this! This recipe has all the hallmarks of a traditional chocolate chess pie, but wasn’t as cloyingly sweet as others I’ve tried. Nice crackly top, gooey underneath, addicting to eat.
