    I love recipes like this that seem to work no matter how many substitutions you make. It's designed for the baker to use whatever fruit/nuts/seeds are on hand - I went with chopped apples and cranberries - but even the base recipe stood up to my changes: used only whole wheat flour; substituted mix of buttermilk and Greek yogurt for plain yogurt; substituted oat mik for dairy milk; used 3 egg yolks and 1 egg white for the 2 eggs. Deliciously fruity and tender, these will be made again. Bake time was only 18 minutes in my oven.
