Middle Eastern sausage rolls from The Guardian Feast supplement, October 24, 2020 (page 4) by Yotam Ottolenghi

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

It's a weird feeling to have absolutely every item for an Ottolenghi recipe already on hand. Baharat? Check! Barberries? Got them! 100g feta? Leftover from something else! The puff pastry sheets I had were smaller than his though. They are part of a feature on cooking for children, so they were a bit underseasoned for my palate, so I would increase the salt a bit and maybe use harissa for some spice instead of the tomato paste. I haven't used barberries before - I wasn't expecting them to add such a lemony zing. Not sure how they would go down with children, but for adults they were very acceptable.
