Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    My husband thought this was bland but I liked it combined with the linguine and served over Mark Bittman’s scallops stuffed with pesto paste. This pesto has an idea of pesto but if you’re in the mood for full pesto with olive oil, this will be a disappointment because it doesn’t come close to tasting like the real thing. Bottom line: Okay but Not good enough up to repeat.

    Eliminate tomatoes, add 1 T. chicken stock and 1 T. olive oil. Double the recipe.
