Buttered artichokes with thyme and garlic from Real Cooking by Nigel Slater

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

This is my favorite way to prepare Jerusalem artichokes, or sunchokes. It's important to monitor the heat and move the artichokes around to brown them on all sides. The bay, thyme and garlic are wonderful together with the artichoke's subtle flavor. These are great next to a piece of fish, a pork chop or a steak, but could just was well accompany a salad and a chunk of cheese.
