Can substitute pearled spelt or whole spelt grains for pearl barley, rocket or parsley for watercress, and lemons for oranges.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Lovely! Used curry powder instead of paste. Only had spinach leaves in, and I think something more flavoursome, like fresh herbs or rocket, would have been great. I found the dressing (trickle of olive oil and citrus juice) didn't quite stand out enough, might try something with a bit more oomph for the leftovers.
