Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Accompaniments: Haitian pikliz

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

  • Eat Your Books

Can substitute store-bought vegetable stock, store-bought chicken stock, or the book's "Chicken stock" for the book's "Vegetable stock"; fresh ginger for ground ginger; and olive oil for lard.

Very good. The coconut milk made the rice creamy. Flavourful without overpowering. Excellent with the pikliz.
