Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    These are my go-to breakfast muffins, and I use this recipe mainly for lueberry muffins. The muffins are not as sweet or cake-like as many newer recipes. They can be modified many ways, adding dried fruits, fresh lemon or orange peel, seeds, nuts, etc. The muffins will rise into big domes very quickly if started in a hot oven and turned down when they are put in to bake, but it is easy to forget to turn the oven down!
