Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    I was very excited about making this, but the result was only ok. The taste of marmalade was overwhelmed by the coffee. Also, the syrup doesn't really work out as a syrup - it doesn't have enough sugar to be syrupy, and the quantity isn't enough to cover the whole cake. It turns the top of the cake dark brown, while the one in the photo in the book is pale golden, and the pieces of peel in the syrup end up sitting limply on the cake, dyed brown by the coffee and looking a little like slugs ??
