Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Made with 8 Pink Lady and 2 Gala apples since those varieties were on sale for 2 cents per. Fairly simple to make, if somewhat time consuming. Used no-fail pie crust from NYT Heritage cookbook pg 408 but made with unsalted butter which was a mistake that caused it to have no taste. The pie filling was good tasting but did not hold together well for slicing.
