    Delicious flavors. Even though my heirloom tomatoes were perfectly ripe, I did warm them on the tart in the oven for about 5 minutes for less temperature contrast. I could only fit 3 large, thickly sliced tomatoes on my tart, and the slices definitely did not want to stay on top - which was OK since we ate this with fork and knife, but would be tricky to eat by hand.

    This was so delicious, I wanted to immerse myself in it. I used prepared pesto and TJ’s everything but the bagel spice so this came together in minutes. I did drain the tomato slices while the pastry/pesto/cheddar layer was baking, and I skipped the olive oil drizzle- there was plenty in the pesto. Another winner from HBH!
