Sweet black rice pudding (Bubur injin) from Paon: Real Balinese Cooking (page 167) by Tjok Maya Kerthyasa and I Wayan Kresna Yasa

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Black rice pudding is a favorite for dessert. I tried this recipe for its use of pandan leaves - I flavor I am very fond of. I used canned jackfruit as I have no reliable source of fresh jackfruit. I did use the palm sugar as specified something I often don't do. I absolutely loved the pudding -- the balance of flavors was near perfect. However, the topping of the pudding with jackfruit seemed unnecessary - it neither detracted nor added to the dish.
