    Can substitute cooked lentils for tinned lentils, parsnips for carrots, and oregano sprigs for thyme sprigs.

    Great way to use up veggie leftovers and make a warm winter meal by keeping lentils in your pantry. Not sure I cooked lentils correctly is only thought, I followed instructions in book but will alter slightly or soak next time. Also added in a ham bone I had in the freezer for extra flavour.
