Cabbage, apples and kielbasa from Milk Street: Cook What You Have: Make a Meal Out of Almost Anything (page 145) by Christopher Kimball

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Simple taste. It is a dish that may accompany some German dishes, but felt it could be improved. So after tasting, I pulled out the sausages and browned them separately to get more taste and put them back in before serving. It would have been better if they were initially cooked together with onion before adding the apple slices. Used both thyme and caraway seeds. Mustard is definitely needed here. Taste really improved the next day. aft Photo added.
