Greek sweet bread (Koulourakia) from The Complete Greek Cookbook: The Best from 3000 Years of Greek Cooking (page 169) by Theresa Karas Yianilos

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

Notes about this recipe

I grew up eating this specific koulourakia recipe and it was always made with butter (and always delicious). Just now tried the olive oil version and it's equally good! Used a mellow olive oil. The dough seeps oil as it sits and makes it harder to shape the cookies when you're halfway through, but I don't see that the last batch suffered in any way. The end result seems about the same. 25 minutes is a bit too long in my oven.
