Better-than-canned mulligatawny from Castle Rock Kitchen: Wicked Good Recipes from the World of Stephen King (page 41) by Theresa Carle-Sanders

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Accompaniments: Brown bread with raisins

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This is such a solid soup that packs a lot in with minimal effort. Make sure you use a good curry.

I used to have a great Indian restaurant that served mulligatawny with their lunch and this brought me straight back to those days. I made a double batch and used both Penzey's "The Now curry" and "Sweet Curry" with a touch extra chili. This is quick, nourishing, and relatively healthy.
