Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Tried to make this but it was a complete disaster. I followed the timings in the book but ended up with very burnt cabbage. Would also have been helpful to know what is considered a small or medium potato in this case. I tried to used the photo as a guide but clearly got it wrong as the timings for cooking the potatoes were very off for me. I've generally had really good experiences with recipes from these books, so it was unexpected and disappointing to create a meal that was so bad I had to throw it away.
