    I made 3 larger patties (1 lb beef), which needed to simmer 15 min (and were still medium-well rather than well done). For the gravy, I used 8 oz mushrooms and only added 1/4 c water, and thought the flavor and consistency were perfect. As my husband said, "I had no idea salisbury steak could be so delicious!"

    These were delicious. The worst part of the recipe was to grate the onion, I had to wear a goggle. I used panko and I forgot to add the egg into the mix but the steak still held together quite well.
