    Can substitute substitute additional beef mince for pork mince, dried parsley for Italian herb mix, and Parmesan cheese for Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.

    I was intrigued by the oven roasted sauce method here (and the meatballs on the rack), but it was unfortunately a fail. The onions in the sauce came out crunchy and the sauce itself tasted one note (and the one note is dried herbs). Didn’t help that I had trouble with the panade incorporating well into the meatballs. Overall, not a good replacement for Smitten’s perfect meatballs which take the same amount of time and are far tastier.
