Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Great hearth bread. The small amount of wheat germ adds quite a bit of flavor. The headnote suggests one can start this bread at 11 am to have with dinner, but that depends on what time you eat and assumes your dough does not need any extra time; I started mine at 9:30 am and am glad I did. The bread wasn't as crusty as I'd expected - the crust softened as it cooled - but Rose does say to bake ahead and reheat for optimal crustiness.
