    This is probably the best coffee cake that I’ve ever made. I make one every January for my husband’s birthday; so every January is a coffee cake experiment. The cardamom is quite strong; almost at the point of overpowering. Maybe 7 pods would be better rather than 8 pods. The walnut ‘flour’ makes the cake a little bit denser, which I like. The cream cheese icing is lovely, not too sweet and very light. Lovely cake; I may do this on repeat next January!
