Can use the book's "Vegan fish sauce" recipe. Can substitute chilli paste for red bird's eye chiles; brown miso paste, soy sauce, tamari or coconut aminos for vegan fish sauce; tamari or coconut aminos for soy sauce; maple syrup or unrefined coconut sugar for date syrup; and unsalted cashew nuts for unsalted peanuts.
