Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

    Nice dressing. Salad is a little fiddly. I didn't use the dates or chives. I think feta would be better in place of the goat cheese. I pickled the shallot, but I wouldn't necessarily do that again. I added red bell peppers for a second version.

    This made a tasty & filling dinner salad. We loved the croutons (which got a shower of pecorino romano cheese before hitting the oven) & the dressing. I used left over roast chicken + green leaf lettuce and I also added sliced hard boiled eggs. We skipped the dates & avocado and added pickled matchstick carrots, sliced sweet red pepper & celery. We debated on the smoked almonds (which I do have) but thought the big crispy croutons would provide enough crunch. Such a good dinner salad but I would likely choose feta over the goat cheese next time.
