Chocolate oatmeal drops from Baking - From My Home to Yours (page 75) by Dorie Greenspan

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

I had to use a mix of chocolates for these (the end of a Lindt 70% bar + the last oz of Baker's semisweet topped up with semisweet chips) which actually worked out well. This cookie IS very chocolately and not overly sweet (which is why I think my semisweet chocolate was good choice for at least a little more sweetness). I got 23 cookies from a 1/2 recipe and 11 minutes seemed to be the baking sweet spot. T (who loves brownies) thinks these are great.

These are quite chocolatey but also a bit dry. It doesn't really feel like a cohesive cookie and more like it's barely holding together.

used nutmeg instead of cinnamon. extra chocolately, as she says in the book!
