Can substitute sunflower oil for groundnut oil, dry white wine for dry white vermouth, smoked white fish of your choice for half of the smoked haddock, and Gruyère cheese for Parmesan cheese.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

There's a chunk of the method missing, and I suspect that the one in the picture was pureed, which isn't referred to in the method but is probably a good idea. But the soup itself is absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the fiddle of making two sauces from scratch.
