Can substitute parsley for dill; pickled jalapeños or pepperoncini for capers; and cheddar, Swiss, or pepper Jack cheese for American cheese.

Where’s the full recipe - why can I only see the ingredients?

Always check the publication for a full list of ingredients. An Eat Your Books index lists the main ingredients and does not include 'store-cupboard ingredients' (salt, pepper, oil, flour, etc.) - unless called for in significant quantity.

This recipe lives up to its name-it is a pretty great sandwich. Anyone who even sort of likes tuna melts (I’m sort on the fence about them) will likely really like this sandwich.
