    Can substitute cooked cannellini beans for butter beans, dry sherry for white wine, and water for chicken stock.

    This would be lovely served with some nice crusty bread. I added zucchini for a vegetable at the same time as the beans, and a bit of cream to make more of a sauce of the cooking liquid. Tasty, pretty quick, and I love the garlic. Definitely a good weeknight recipe, as it calls for almost all things we always have on hand and is quite comforting.
