    Shockingly good. It is super chunky, so not like a traditional black bean soup, more like a stew, but the flavor is really great. Added sour cream and cheese but I don't think it is needed. Served with tortilla chips and was a filling meal. Did 2 cans of rotel instead of 1 1/2 cups canned chopped tomatoes and made sure to use the recommended smoked bacon. Recipe from the website, not the cookbook.
